Dove has always been a well-known brand to me since childhood. From their original beauty bar soap to their amazing Real Beauty mission over the years. They are truly a brand I will love eternally.
With that type of love, it’s hard not to dive in and try their latest product. The last time I tried a Dove shampoo and conditioner was several years ago when they released their “Go Fresh” line. I loved the Grapefruit and Lemongrass beauty bar soap that I went ahead and tried the shampoo and conditioner therapy. And boy did they make me feel refreshingly happy! (I believe they have discontinued the “Go Fresh” shampoo and conditioner as well as the Grapefruit and Lemongrass scent.) Since then I have been using other branded shampoo and conditioners but recently stumbled on a travel size of Dove Advanced Hair Series and decided to give it a go.
Dove Oxygen Moisture Shampoo and Conditioner is for fine, flat hair. “Hair is moisture with 95% more volume (versus flat limp hair). Made with Oxyfusion Technology, a new generation of moisture. With lightweight, oxygen-fused conditioning ingredients, the formula rapidly disperses on your hair. Gently cleanses and moisturizes, breathing life into fine, flat hair and delicately smoothes hair without weighing it down.”
Despite reviews online, the shampoo and conditioner worked amazingly for my hair. I have shoulder-length, straight, normal hair and it definitely gave my hair a soft, lightweight feel with moisture and a bit of volume.
The shampoo provides a gel-like consistency and lathers the hair easily. The conditioner seems like a lotion but it went on and left my hair feeling clean and conditioned.
Both shampoo and conditioner smell incredible with a pleasantly mild floral, refreshing scent that does not linger. I only wish I can wear it on me all day. Dove, you never cease to amaze me with your products and the Oxygen Moisture shampoo and conditioner are definitely on my top drugstore hair care repurchase list!
