NEXXUS Emergencee Reconstrucive System Restoring Conditioner Review

RESTORING CONDITIONER

The Emergencée Restoring Conditioner reinforces the cuticle wall, rebuilding strength by reducing breakage and repairs the inner fiber of each strand. Smooth and press the rich cream into damp hair. Leave in for 3 minutes. Rinse thoroughly.

This 4-step process will dramatically improve flexibility and reduce breakage, unlocking hair with improved manageability and alignment. I found the 4-step process to be very time consuming.

Here's the breakdown: Cleanse hair with [STEP 1] Rebalancing Shampoo, this is a crucial step in order for the treatment to work most effectively. Next, cover hair with one does of the [STEP 2] Reconstructing Treatment, working the treatment into hair, the texture of the formula will leave hair feeling stiff and coarse, as expected - leave on for 5 minutes. Rinse hair and apply the [STEP 3] Rebalancing Shampoo to remove any leftover residue from the treatment. Lastly, condition with [STEP 4] Restoring Conditioner, leave on for 3 minutes, this will maintain the hair's natural moisture balance.

Lots of waiting time, the entire process takes about 10 minutes. Luckily, you only need to do the 4-step process once a week, while regularly shampoo and conditioner throughout the rest of the week. I want to love this product but after testing it out for two weeks, this product isn't for me. I would give it a few more weeks of testing but I decided I needed to stop, here's why.

While leaving the treatment in my hair, it did not feel stiff or coarse. At first, I thought I did not put enough product. Tried it a second time and came to the conclusion that my hair is not as damaged as the product would want it to be. With that being said, I still wanted to see how the shampoo and conditioner acted towards my hair. I was disappointed to say the least. A lot of hair came off in the shower - not just a few strands, I would sadly say a good chunk. The only plus side was my hair did feel softer and looked silkier, however, the con outweigh the pro, in this situation. I think someone with really damaged hair (regularly using heated tools, constant colouring, etc) would benefit from this line of products.

Have you tried any products from NEXXUS? If so, how was it? What were your thoughts? If you have damaged hair, would you give the Emergencée Reconstructive System a try?
