Welcome to my February 2020 Empties!
This month, I managed to finish a few foil package shampoo and conditioners which I am super happy about – though I still have a handful left. I also finished up some skincare and A makeup product. Yes, ONE makeup product – I’m always surprised when makeup is completely finished, like not dried out or passed its date – emptied, no product left, done. Very proud moment right there!
HAIR CARE
Herbal Essences Bio:Renew Detox Black Charcoal Shampoo and Replenish White Charcoal Conditioner
Back when detox and charcoal were the trends, I didn’t quite jump on board but I did get this foil package sample. I finally gave it a try and as much as I enjoyed how my hair felt – clean and smooth, the scent was a bit too strong and musky and lingered for a bit after, for my liking.
Garnier Whole Blends Marvelous Shampoo and Balm: Moroccan Argan & Camellia Oils
I have reviewed Garnier Whole Blends Green Apple & Green Tea which is from the same Whole Blends collection. The Moroccan Argan & Camellia Oils Shampoo and Balm (aka Conditioner) had a pleasantly sweet Moroccan Argan oil scent. It lathered and rinsed out easily and left my hair looking smooth and shiny.
OGX Strength & Body + Bamboo Fiber-Full Shampoo and Conditioner
This shampoo and conditioner duo had a bit of a pleasant earthy scent which I didn’t mind. It lathered very well and left my hair feeling cleansed and voluptuously full.
MAKEUP and SKIN CARE
Maybelline Brow Precise Micro Pencil (Product Review)
As mentioned earlier, I’m surprised when a makeup product is completely finished. I used the Maybelline Brow Precise Micro Pencil on and off but lately have been really liking using brow pencils instead of my brow product of choice – pomade. So it came to a surprised when I gave it a twist up one day and realized it had come to an end.
Clean & Clear Acne Triple Clear Exfoliating Scrub (Product Review)
I don’t use this exfoliating scrub everyday, perhaps once or twice a week depending on if I feel my skin needs it – some weeks I don’t use it at all. I quite like this scrub, a little goes a long way and I noticed my skin clearing from breakouts.
Crabtree & Evelyn Rosewater Body Lotion
Crabtree & Evelyn’s body lotion was the first product that introduced me to the brand. And then I became OBSESSED with their nail polishes. I got the Rosewater body lotion for free from a promo years ago but I wasn’t too fond at the scent – way too floral for my liking, so I tossed it onto the side. I rediscovered it in my stash late last year and went ahead and used it – bypassing the scent. I’ve always loved how soft their body lotions made my skin feel – this was no difference.
I’m not going to lie, I was disappointed when they announced they were to cease to exist worldwide in late 2018. BUT they relaunched in July 2019 as an eCommerce.
