My first serious skincare routine started when I was an early teen. I was browsing the aisle of a drugstore and a beauty consultant lured me in with a mist of thermal water and started to showcase a bunch of the brand’s products. Talk about pressuring a customer for a sale. Luckily, no pressure was made to purchase their product but I was given tons of samples and instructions on what to use when. I gave them a go and I was impressed at what it did to my skin. Of course, my teenage skin was already at its best but after trying a few samples from this brand, my skin was, dare I say, amazing! So who is this brand? Vichy. Most popular in Europe and in my daily skincare life, Vichy is a premium brand of skincare, body care, make-up and anti-aging products.
I have tried numerous skincare products from various brands and love them all but Vichy holds a special place in my heart (and for my skin). And although Vichy is one of my favourites, I haven’t tried all their products, mainly because it’s not suitable for my skin type or I haven’t explore that collection. One of which is the Vichy Ideal Body Care line. Body care is just as important as skincare for the face, so I was excited to give the Ideal Body Care line a try.
The Vichy Ideal Body Care offers the efficacy of their face care ingredients, such as hyaluronic acid, LHA and natural oil. Vichy’s commitment includes: products being tested on sensitive skin under dermatological control, hypoallergenic, no parabens and with soothing and fortifying Vichy Thermal Spa Water.
Vichy Spa Shower Gel-Cream
In-shower Gel-Cream body cleanser without soap: for hydration and unsustainable comfort.
The Vichy Spa Shower Gel-Cream transforms skin in seconds. Daily shower becomes a spa experience with this gel-cream body cleanser enriched with Vichy thermal spa water with 15 mineral active ingredients and natural oils.
Once in the shower, wet body with water, pour the gel into the palm of hand or body sponge, lather and apply all over body (avoiding the face). The shower gel-cream smells beautiful, it provides a light, floral-like fragrance. It lathered nicely and instantly made my skin feeling smooth and hydrated. Rinsing off the gel thoroughly with water was not a problem. This was then followed by the Vichy Body Milk.
Vichy Body Milk
Serum-milk for ideal skin quality, continuous hydration, harmonized skin tone, firmness and smoothness.
For the 1st time, active ingredients traditionally used in face care: Hyaluronic Acid and LHA were combined with 10 fundamental oils to help women obtain ideal skin quality on the body: firmer, smoother and more radiant skin. Vichy Research discovered that lipids are essential agents for ideal skin quality. Anti-dryness, improved skin radiance and luminosity, smoothing, softness and firming action are the many benefits that the new IDEAL BODY range offers.
This Serum-milk is an emulsion gel enriched with mother-of-pearl particles to enhance the skin. As a milk, it delivers hydration and comfort. As a serum, it has a very fresh, fluid and melt-in texture that is instantly absorbed.
After getting out of the shower, I applied the Vichy Body Milk to skin that is still slightly damp. This is to help to boost hydration and the sensation of freshness. Just like a wet moisturizer, the Body Milk sets into the skin fairly quickly and leaves skin feeling it’s firmest and hydrated.
Vichy Replumping Lip Balm
Triple action for dry to damaged lips: smoothness, softness and comfort all day long.
With Shea butter and Macadamia oil for intensively nourish and protect the skin and Beeswax for soothing and healing of damaged tissue. The Vichy Replumping Lip Balm provides smoothness, softness and comfort all day long. As you know, dried chapped lips are never a good feeling. This lip balm is going into my favourites as it’s non-greasy, non-sticky and gives a natural finish. It has a light scent and flavouring but it’s hardly detectable.
