When skincare and makeup come face to face, it’s LIT!
I used to love the matte skin look. Always choosing the matte foundation with a medium to full coverage. In recent years, things took a slight turn. I still wear matte foundation occasionally but on most days, I gravitate towards skin with a bit of glow. And although I dream that someday soon I can walk out bare face with just a lipstick and mascara, I rely on products that illuminate the skin.
Ole Henriksen Banana Bright Face Primer was created to work with the Banana Bright Eye Crème as the ultimate pairing for radiant, makeup-ready skin. Ole drew inspiration from a makeup technique he observed during his years of on-camera work: ”banana powder.”
This subtly sunny tint is designed to instantly brighten and colour-correct, delivering instant radiance to the entire complexion while improving and extending makeup wear. But that’s not all. With its soft-focus effect, this formula creates a luminous canvas for an Ole Glow that lasts and lasts. The look of fine lines and wrinkles will instantly softened and skin’s appearance is smoothed.
The Banana Bright Face Primer is made without parabens, sulfates, or phthalates but contains:
Vitamin C – Ole’s “gold standard” for targeting visible signs of aging
Vitamin E – an antioxidant that helps nourish and condition skin, also helps stabilize the vitamin C in the formula
Banana powder-inspired pigments – instantly illuminates skin
3 ways to wear Ole Henriksen Banana Bright Face Primer:
Alone – Get a “I woke up like this” look by simply applying the primer onto the skin.
Mixed under foundation – Amp up the glow factor of your favourite foundation with a pump of the primer.
On top of makeup, as a highlight – Apply a small amount to key parts of your skin in which the lights hit.
It may seem as though the Ole Henriksen Banana Bright Face Primer is a squeeze tube but it actually has a pump dispenser. It has a very mild citrus scent that reminds me of a orange creamsicle. The primer itself has a bit of shimmer pigments.
When applied (whether alone or mixed with foundation), it’s very subtle but gives skin a healthy glow. The primer provided a smooth finish, blurred my imperfection and also hydrated the skin. When I mixed the primer with my foundation, my makeup did stay on and maintained that bright glow throughout the day.
