Skin hydration is important; nobody wants dry, dull-looking skin and that’s where Neutrogena Hydro Boost, for many years, have come to the rescue. While Hydro Boost has been a favourite of mine, sometimes just a hydrating moisturizer isn’t enough for fine lines, uneven skin tone and texture, thus comes Neutrogena Bright Boost.

Restore brightness and kick-start dull, tired skin instantly! Formulated with Neoglucosamine, Neutrogena Bright Boost is Neutrogena’s most revolutionary way to fight skin aging dullness and awakens skin by boosting surface cell turnover by 10x.

What is Neoglucosamine?
Neoglucosamine is a superior amino sugar that aids in resurfacing and brightening skin. Just like Hyaluronic Acid boosts hydration, Neoglucosamine ignites skin brightness. In fact, unlike other skin brighteners, Neoglucosamine is actually a building block of Hyaluronic Acid that helps renew skin for a fresher, more radiant complexion. Want to learn more? STEP 1 – PREP: Neutrogena Bright Boost Resurfacing Micro Face Polish

This gentle exfoliator exfoliates skin and removes skin aging dullness with 3x the polishing power of a normal scrub, leaving skin smooth and bright. It is formulated with naturally-derived skin smoothers and Glycolic and Mandelic AHAs.

How to Use

• Use Bright Boost Resurfacing Micro Polish one to three times per week.
• Apply product to hands and gently massage onto wet face in a circular motion.
• Rinse with water and pat dry.

This Micro Polish has a thick but lightweight consistency with a grainy texture. There is a bit of a sweet scent but nothing too strong. I found that this physical exfoliator didn’t feel rough on the skin; it gently lathered and rinsed off easily. The exfoliator didn’t dry-out my skin, it made my skin feel cleansed and refreshed while looking smooth and radiant.

STEP 2 – TREAT: Neutrogena Bright Boost Illuminating Serum

A brightening, lightweight, and smoothing facial serum is formulated with naturally-derived turmeric extract and Neoglucosamine to visibly improve skin tone, texture and clarity. It exfoliates skin and helps reduce the appearance of dark spots and hyperpigmentation.

How to Use

• Every morning and evening, apply 4-5 drops onto the palm of hand.
• Use fingertips to gently massage onto face.

The Neutrogena Bright Boost Illuminating Serum comes as a runny consistency. It’s very lightweight serum but doesn’t fully absorb into the skin. It leaves a bit of a sticky feeling that needs to be followed-up with a moisturizer. Other than that, I do like this serum as it does leave the skin feeling refreshed and hydrating.

STEP 3 – MOISTURIZE: Neutrogena Bright Boost Gel Cream

This multi-tasking facial gel cream instantly brightens skin and visibly reduces dullness and dark spots for smooth skin. It’s formulated with Neoglucosamine, AHA and PHA to resurface and brighten skin. In just one week, there are visible improvements in tone, texture, and fine lines.

How to Use

• Apply Bright Boost Gel Cream twice daily to cleansed face and neck.
• Smooth evenly in gentle massaging strokes until fully absorbed.
• Use in the morning for all-day brightness and in the evening for continued hydration.

Very similar to Neutrogena Hydro Boost, this gel cream has a lightweight-gel consistency with a bit of a light but refreshing sweet scent. It absorbs immediately into my skin and doesn’t leave greasy feeling whatsoever. My skin feels very hydrated and moisturized after application and leaves a nice radiant glow.

STEP 4 – PROTECT: Neutrogena Bright Boost Moisturizer with SPF 30

This lightweight and sheer brightening face moisturizer with broad spectrum SPF 30 sunscreen protects skin while improving tone and texture. It is formulated with Moringa Seed Extract, Vitamin C, Vitamin E and Neoglucosamine.

How to Use

• Apply generously and evenly to cleansed face and neck everyday, 15 minutes before sun exposure.

The consistency from this moisturizer is very lotion-like, it’s light but not super thick or runny. It has a light sweet/flowery fragrance with a mild hint of the typical “sunscreen” scent. The moisturizer applies smoothly, it absorbs into the skin, leaving skin feeling refreshed and very hydrating. I also love that this moisturizer doesn’t provide a whitecast after application and doesn’t leave any sticky, oily or greasy feeling.

Overall, the Neutrogena Bright Boost is great collection, especially for those who want to restore brightness and combat dull, tired skin. It’s also great for those who love Hydro Boost but either want to start introducing anti-aging products for their skin or feel the need to wanting more help with their skin aging dullness.
