I have always been a fan of Clinique products. Not only are they an affordable higher-end cosmetics brand but they are an allergy tested, dermatologist-driven, 100% fragrance free brand. My skin is fairly sensitive so when it comes to cosmetics and skincare I fear of breakouts. Luckily for Clinique, almost every product I have used of theirs works as it claims and doesn’t cause the skin to react.
The Clinique Long Last Lipstick claims to having the “longest-wearing formula. Keeps its just-applied look for hours. Won’t feather, creep, stain or dry out”.
When it comes to lip colours, I try my best to play around with different colours but I always end up gravitating to the nude-shade category.
For the Clinique Long Last Lipstick, it was no different, I opted for Glow Bronze. This “My lips but better” shade is probably my favourite out of all the nude-shades I own. It’s not too light, not too brown, nor too pink of an undertone. It provides the perfect combination to give your lips an extra glow without looking like there is lipstick.
The Long Last Lipstick itself is super creamy, goes on smoothly and leaves the lips moisturizing. The lipstick has absolutely no scent, feels soft and non-sticky on the lips. All colours provide a nice subtle shine and shimmer – perfect to wear at any time of the day.
I have swatched a few other lip shades in store and the colours are very pigmented. One thing to note, the colours on the website are not true to colour – I highly suggest to walk up to a counter and swatch the shades. And as for long lasting. The colour stays on until you wipe it away, it also does not feather out or fade in. However, if you’re looking for a transfer-proof lipstick, this isn’t for you.
Overall, I love the Clinique Long Last Lipstick, if they can change the formulation so that the lipstick doesn’t transfer then we will have a solid winner! Great lipstick, love the creamy texture, moisturizing feel, scentless feature and colour payoff. I will definitely be heading out and purchasing more shades.
