Who doesn’t love a delicious plate of nachos or delivery pizza? But sometimes those tortilla chips can be overly salty or the pizza is not towards your liking. Homemade is the way to go, but there are times when you simply don’t have the time or all the ingredients. An alternative? Tortillas!
Hear me out. Not only is it quick and easy, you also know what’s in it and have the freedom to control what gets added. They are nice, light and filling. Perfect for game nights and party pleasers as snacks and appetizers. It’s also a great way to clear out any leftover ingredients in the fridge. So whether you buy packaged tortillas in-stores or make them from scratch. Let’s get started!
Directions:
Preheat oven at 300F/150C
Take your tortilla(s) and…
For Tortilla Chips:
Divide tortilla(s) into six or eight slices or desired-size triangles
Optional – sprinkle salt, pepper, any type of spice and/or drizzle olive oil for added flavour
For Pizza:
Leave tortilla as is or divide in half or quarters
Add ingredients of choice (tomato sauce, cheese, vegetables, etc)
Place onto a nonstick baking sheet
Leave in oven for 5-10 minutes or until desired crisp
Let it stand for a few minutes
