Foamie Normal Hair Shampoo Conditioner Bar with Coconut Oil Review

Shampoo and conditioner bars have been on the rise lately and I’ve always been curious about them. Wondering, do I treat it like any other bar soap – just lather and rinse, how much is too much, would it clean and condition my hair, can it convince me to make the switch from bottle to bar?

Meet your tropical escape with Foamie Coconut Shampoo and Conditioner Bar with wheat proteins and coconut for strong, supple, and shiny hair. It is pH-Balanced, therefore super gentle for the hair. Best of all, your hair will be left with the exotic scent of coconut all day long, thanks to their cold-pressed formulation.

Foamie’s haircare is 100% free from soap, as well as sulphates, SLS, parabens and alcohol. They are also vegan, cruelty-free and RSPO certified.

How To Use:

  • Place the shampoo bar under running water, and rub between the hands to create a lather.
  • Apply the lather to the hair, from roots to ends. Alternatively, run the shampoo bar directly down the hair.
  • Rinse the hair, and hang your shampoo bar up to dry or store within our FOAMIE Travel Buddy.
  • Repeat the same steps with the conditioner bar

When I tried Foamie’s shampoo and conditioner bars, I went ahead and treated them like any other bar soap – wet the bar, create a lather with my hands and lather it into my hair like how I would normally wash my hair. The sweet scent of coconut was a delight and lingered for a bit, which I don’t mind. Both bars created a generous lather and were able to rinse off easily, leaving my hair cleansed and soft.

I also love the design of the bars which made it easy to grip on without slipping out of my hands and the integrated string allowed the bars to hang up to dry.

Overall, besides it being a bar, I didn’t find these Foamie bars to be any different than a shampoo and conditioner in a bottle when it comes to how it lathers and rinses off. The experience has definitely made me consider the switch from bottle to bars in the future, once I finish off all my shampoo and conditioner bottles.

What are your thoughts on Foamie Shampoo and Conditioner Bar? Have you tried any products from Foamie before? Would you make the switch to using shampoo/conditioner bars?
