Welcome to my June 2020 Empties!
6 months in, 6 more to go! It’s so surreal that we are passed the halfway mark of the year but I think I’m ready to say good riddance to 2020. I mean, unless the second half miraculously betters itself – then in that case, I guess it’s fine.
In terms of empties, I’ve finished a few more sample size products, so I’m quite happy about that. But let me just personally say, sample size products take more than a couple of days to finish. Seriously, it took almost two months to finish a 8ml/0.27 fl. oz sample of serum and I use it EVERYDAY. It definitely explains why I don’t have a lot of empties each month but how do people do it? I’d love to know.
John Masters Organics – Lavender Rosemary Shampoo for normal Hair and Lavender & Avocado Intensive Conditioner
The scent coming from both the shampoo and conditioner were a tad bit intense that I wasn’t used to, I was hoping strong lavender notes but the rosemary (shampoo) and plant extracts (conditioner) overpowered the lavender. The shampoo was really runny while the conditioner was a bit thicker but for both, I needed to apply a bit more than normal to wash my hair. It still did a great job at lathering and rinsing and left my hair feeling and looking shiny, soft and manageable.
Herbal Essences bio:renew Birch Bark Extract Shampoo and Conditioner
Both shampoo and conditioner lathered well onto my hair and easily rinsed off. The scent on the other hand, reminds me of the days walking by Hollister. It’s a nice birch bark scent if I were to have a quick whiff but instead, it overpoweringly lingered on my hair for a few hours, which was a bit nauseating. Although this shampoo and conditioner is for colour protection and my hair isn’t coloured, my hair was left very soft and smooth.
Garnier Fructis Damage Eraser Strength Reconstructing Butter
In an earlier empties posts, I finished the sample size of Garnier Fructis Damage Eraser Split-End Serum. Now I have finished a full size of their Reconstructing Butter – which is essentially a hair mask to be used between shampooing and conditioning. When it comes to hair masks, I tend to use them 1-2 times a month, hence it took me forever to finish this. I loved using this Reconstructing Butter, my hair always feels so smooth and soft after.
Lancome Advanced Génifique Youth Activating Concentrate Serum
This little sample took almost 2 months to finish, I use one drop for my entire face during my nightly skincare routine followed by a moisturizer. My skin looked more radiant and smooth after a few days of use. The serum is very lightweight and absorbs immediately into the skin and doesn’t leave a sticky-feel afterwards.
What are your thoughts on my June 2020 empties? Have you tried any of the products featured? I hope everyone is doing well, how are you feeling now that we’re halfway through the year?
