Welcome to my August 2020 Empties!
Oh my! How is it already September? I’ve already started thinking about Fall decor, warm spiced drinks and foods you’ll come across on Thanksgiving, a little sooner than usual (I’m not complaining since it’s my favourite season). Normally my August consist of simply soaking in the sunshine and taking one last summer getaway with no thoughts of crispy leaves and cozy sweaters. I guess that’s what happens when summer wasn’t really what it turned out to be and your mind just wanders off.
Anyways, in terms of empties in August, there wasn’t too much finished. But the ones I did manage to finish up were all such great products, with some that I added to the list of repurchases in the future.
HAIR & SKIN CARE
Dove Pure Care Dry Oil for Hair Nourishing Hair Treatment with African Macadamia Oil
I’m a HUGE fan of Moroccanoil for well over a decade now and NOTHING WILL EVER replace this beauty of a hair oil. However, I have a ton of hair oils from other brands that have been sitting in the dark for a while that I decided to use up, including this Dove Pure Care Dry Oil Nourishing Hair Treatment. Don’t let this little sample fool you, using just a half a dime size amount, it took a VERY long time to finish up – and I use it regularly. I’m not going to lie, this hair oil is very similar to Moroccanoil, it left my hair nourished without the greasy look or feel – as some hair oils do. Scent-wise, it has a very calming macadamia oil scent but doesn’t linger for too long.
NIVEA Q10plus Anti-Wrinkle Night Care (Product Review)
There’s not much to say about the NIVEA Q10plus Anti-Wrinkle Night Care – it was a great nighttime moisturizer that rejuvenated my skin and left it feeling smooth.
Dr. Belmeur Vita Tone Smoothing Serum
I’ve heard great things about Dr. Belmeur products recently and have been intrigued to try their products. Having tried a sample of their Vita Tone Soothing Serum and Advanced CICA Hydro Cream this month, I now know why there’s a lot of good talk about them. The serum had a soft scent of citrus with a hint of floral. It had a runnier serum consistency and absorbed into the skin almost immediately, leaving the skin smooth with no sticky feel. I followed-up the serum with their Advanced CICA Hydro Cream.
Dr. Belmeur Advanced CICA Hydro Cream
The Dr. Belmeur Advanced CICA Hydro Cream provided a pleasant soothing feel on the face with a light citrus floral scent. It’s creamy, moisturizing, and absorbed immediately into the skin – my skin felt hydrated afterwards. Although I only had about a week of use from the two Dr. Belmeur sample products, I very much enjoyed both products, that they will be on my purchase list for the future.
What are your thoughts on my August 2020 empties? Have you tried any of the products featured under this post? Are you looking forward to a new season?
